This bike tour is not for those who want to see popular attractions, but on the contrary for fans of authentic little-known, but no less interesting places in Bangkok. We will get to know the real Bangkok, where local people live away from the hustle and bustle of tourism.
We gather near the Sam Yot subway station at 08:30. The tour will start at 09:00 sharp (please get off in advance, given the heavy traffic in Bangkok).
We will ride a bike along the Chao Phraya River, and then cross the river by boat on the Rama 8 Bridge. From here we will visit ancient temples and impassable streets.
We will ride bicycles along the grand canal of the Chao Phraya River through the tiny streets where the Muslim community lives. We will see one of the first railway depots in Bangkok (if it is open, we will be lucky to visit the foundry for the manufacture of bronze bowls and old steam engines in the Thonburi railway depot).
After the local ferry crosses back across the river, our bike tour passes by the Grand Palace, where we take a walk through a public park that was once used exclusively by the Royal Family. After driving through a few more winding alleys, we will find ourselves at the grocery market. Next, we will arrive at the Giant Swing, which is one of the attractions of the city and was once used for an important Hindu ceremony.
We will return to the meeting place around 13:30.
It is possible to cancel your reservation free of charge at least 24 hours before the start of the event.
