Border Run from Bangkok

A border run involves leaving Thailand and re-entering the country. This programme does not include a consulate visit or an application for a new Thai visa. A trip to apply for a visa is usually called a visa run.

Extending your permitted stay at an immigration office inside Thailand is a separate procedure.

We offer packages for different nationalities. Eligibility also depends on your basis of entry and immigration history. State your nationality in the booking request and attach the requested passport photos. We will check whether you can join before sending a payment link.

If your nationality is not listed among the available options or appears under “Not available”, contact our support team. Do not select a package intended for a different nationality.

Your permitted stay depends on your nationality, visa type or eligibility for visa-exempt entry, and the rules in force at the time of travel. After receiving your booking request, we will check the applicable conditions for your passport.

Thai immigration officers make the final decision on entry and the permitted length of stay. After re-entry, check the expiry date of your permitted stay in your new entry stamp.

Eligibility is checked individually based on your nationality, basis of entry and immigration history. When submitting your booking request, upload photos of your passport’s personal details page and all pages containing Thai visas, entry and exit stamps, and extensions of stay.

Conditions for visa-exempt entry and entry using a valid multiple-entry visa may differ. We will check your eligibility before sending a payment link.

Include your visa type, visa expiry date and the expiry date of your current permitted stay in the booking request. Attach photos of your visa and Thai immigration stamps. We will check your eligibility and any additional charges before sending a payment link.

Your permitted stay after re-entry depends on your visa conditions, the rules in force and the decision of Thai immigration officers.

We depart Bangkok in the evening and pass through Thai departure immigration the following morning. Choose your departure date based on when you will actually leave Thailand, not when you board the minibus.

For example, if your last permitted day is 20 November, you should depart Bangkok no later than the evening of 19 November. Choose an earlier available departure where possible to allow for unexpected delays.

Yes, you do not need to wait until the last permitted day. We will check your eligibility when reviewing your booking request. Unused days from your previous permitted stay are not added to a new period of stay.

Departure is from the outdoor car park at Lotus’s (Tesco Lotus), Sukhumvit Soi 50, near BTS On Nut in Bangkok. See the map in the Meeting Point section.

Hotel pickup is not included. The shared transfer starts at this meeting point, so you need to make your own way there. Check your booking confirmation for the meeting time.

The trip covers two calendar days. We leave Bangkok in the evening, travel overnight, cross the border the following day and return to Bangkok late that evening.

Allow approximately 26–27 hours. There is no overnight hotel stay; you spend the night travelling in the minibus. Actual return times depend on traffic and border processing. We make restroom stops along the way.

Bring your original passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity and at least 2 blank pages. When submitting your booking request, upload clear photos of your passport’s personal details page and all pages containing Thai visas, entry and exit stamps, and extensions of stay.

One passport-style colour photograph with a white background is also required for options that list it under “Documents”.

Before departing Bangkok, complete and submit your TDAC for your return to Thailand and save the confirmation (QR code).

Whether you need a visa for Laos depends on your nationality. Its cost is included in the packages that list a Lao visa under “What’s included”.

Yes. Complete and submit your Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) on the official Thai immigration website before departing Bangkok for the border run.

Enter your return date to Thailand, not your evening departure date from Bangkok. Follow the submission window shown on the official website and save your confirmation (QR code) so that you can access it without an internet connection.

Our packages include shared round-trip minibus transport from the meeting point in Bangkok to the Mukdahan border crossing, assistance with border crossing and re-entry formalities, and insurance during the trip. A Lao visa is included in the packages that list it under “What’s included”.

Breakfast is not included and is paid separately.

Additional charges apply to holders of valid DTV visas and Non-B or Non-ED visas that have not yet been cancelled. Include your visa details and document photos in the booking request. We will confirm your eligibility, the applicable charges and the total price before sending a payment link.

State your nationality and the exact expiry date of your permitted stay in the booking request. Attach photos of your passport, entry stamp and any extension of stay. We will assess whether you can join the trip before sending a payment link.

Paying an overstay fine does not by itself guarantee participation in the trip or re-entry into Thailand.

Yes. Check the permitted stay of every traveller, including children. Include your child’s age, nationality and photos of their passport, entry stamp and any extension of stay in the booking request.

We will check the conditions for participation before sending a payment link. Resolve any questions about an extension or departure before your child’s permitted stay expires.

No payment is required when you submit your booking request. We will check availability, your documents and the total price before sending payment instructions.

1. Credit and debit cards

We accept Visa and Mastercard. After checking availability and your eligibility, we will send you a payment link.

2. Transfer to a Thai bank account

You can pay into our Thai bank account in Thai baht:

• using a cash deposit machine;
• at a bank branch;
• through a mobile banking app if you have a Thai bank account.

If you prefer a bank transfer, mention this in your booking request or let our support team know so we can provide the payment details.

Select the option for your nationality and your preferred departure date in the booking form. Enter your contact details and attach clear photos of your passport’s personal details page and all pages containing Thai visas, entry and exit stamps, and extensions of stay.

We will check availability, your eligibility for the trip and the total price. Only after these checks will we send a payment link and further details via WhatsApp or email. No payment is required when you submit your request.

Include details of any valid visas, overstay or other document issues in your request. If you cannot upload your documents or are unsure which option to select, contact our support team.

Free cancellation is available at least 7 days before departure. Contact our support team with your booking number to request cancellation or rescheduling.

The availability and terms of rescheduling, or cancellation closer to departure, must be checked separately.
